«KUZBASS RAZREZ UGOL» (Kuzbass Open Pit Mining Coal Company) JSC

“Kuzbass razrez ugol” is an industry leader: in terms of coal production the Company ranks the 1st in Kuzbass and the 2nd in Russia. The Company produces 25% of the volume of coal mined in Kuzbass. At the end of 2016 the volume of coal mined by Company amounted to 44.3 million tons, including coking coal — 6.2 million tons. Every ninth ton of Russian and every fifth ton of Kuzbass coal is mined in the sections of “Kuzbass razrez ugol”. The company makes the quarter of Kuzbass and almost the fifth of Russian coal exports. Quality and labor safety are confirmed by international certificates ISO-9001, ISO-14001, OHSAS 18001. The main priorities in the Company’s activities are: — stable production and products of high quality; — ensuring safe working conditions for the Company’s employees; — maintenance of the production process taking into account environmental measures; — social responsibility.

We heartily welcome you to the hospitable Kuznetsk land. We hope that the meeting of scientists from different mining regions of the world will bring mining science to new horizons of innovative development and expand the possibilities of using new high-productive, resource-saving and cost-effective technologies.
Today, the innovative development of the mineral resource sector in industrial regions challenges the system of higher mining education. The role of engineering pedagogy is increasing in globalization of mining and engineering humanization.
The aim of The First International Symposium ‘Innovative Technologies in Mining and Education in memory of Prof. Vladimir Pronoza’ is to create a platform for international discussion of mining problems by specialists, experts and researchers.
